Our Story

The Samukele Kabini Foundation is a South African community-focused organisation dedicated to using the power of sport to inspire, develop and create opportunities for young people. Founded with a vision of building better communities, the Foundation combines sports development with community-based initiatives that aim to empower young people and contribute positively to society.

Inspired by the journey of South African professional footballer Samukele Kabini, the Foundation recognises the transformative power of sport. From grassroots football to competing at the highest level, Samukele's journey demonstrates what is possible when young people are given access to opportunities, guidance, support and platforms to showcase their talent.

Samukele Kabini

Samukele Alucious Kabini is a talented South African professional footballer who plays as a defender for Norwegian club Molde FK and the South African national team, Bafana Bafana.

Born on 15 March 2004, Kabini developed through the Orlando Pirates youth system before beginning his professional career with TS Galaxy, where his impressive performances earned him a move to Europe in 2025.

Known for his versatility, composure and strong left foot, Kabini has quickly established himself as one of South Africa’s promising young defenders.

His move to Molde FK marked an important milestone, making him one of the few South Africans competing in Norway’s top division.

At international level, he continues to represent South Africa and is regarded as part of the next generation of Bafana Bafana stars.
